2002 and 2003 English Team Member Ben ISDS 220939 owned by Derek Scrimgeour of Cumbria, England

Ben is proving to be a great stud dog and his offspring are already winning trials and pleasing their owners. Ben was fifth in the 2002 Supreme International. Ben has won one of Englands most difficult double lift trials twice and has also won the Yorkshire Championship. Ben is a very brave dog and can handle even the most difficult cattle.

born 18 May 1998
A very nice young dog who has inherited his sire's brains and has all of the qualities Derek
looks for in a future stud dog.
Black Ben was born with nice flanks and has needed minimum training.
His sire, Sweep, is now at stud in the USA with Geri Byrne.
Sweep competed in the Chatsworth International.
Black Ben has a tremendous Mother and Grandmother and has already sired some good
dogs which are all in the posession of noted handlers.
Back Ben is a dog for the connoiseur.
Black Ben is unrelated to many of the modern champions so will be good as a quality sire on

He was eye tested Normal for CEA at 6 weeks of age and all the litters he has sired so far have also been tested as Normal.
R Harle Tod 226528

Owners comments:
Easily handled, good outrunner and excellent driver. A sensible dog with a good nature and a proven breeder
Neil Jones Bob 229309

Owners comments:
"Power" is not about getting in first, its being able to stand your ground under extreme pressure. He came 7th in the English National and was the winner of the English heat of One Man and His Dog when he was only two.
One year after an injury at work which resulted in severed ligaments to a hock joint, (an injury that would finish most dogs), Bob bounced back to take the National Shepherds Trophy at the next National.
Bob is an excellent work dog who needs very little commanding and works well on his own initiative. With an abundance of controlled power, Bob really has the heart of a lion.
